Health Care Town Hall

The American Healthcare Act (AHCA), which would repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act, was passed by the U.S. House of Representatives on May 4th. Learn how the sweeping changes, which impact one-sixth of our economy, would affect you and your family at a Health Care Town Hall featuring state and local experts. Our experts will address questions such as; will I or someone in my family lose benefits; will my premiums go up or down; will I be covered if I have a pre-existing condition; how will the changes impact Pennsylvania’s economy; who will actually benefit from the proposed changes.

Senators Toomey and Casey have been invited to attend, as well as Representative Scott Perry. Representative Perry voted for the AHCA, and Senator Pat Toomey is on the Republican work group charged with coming up with the Senate version of the bill.

The following individuals will be speaking:

Jeannine Peterson, Executive Director of Hamilton Health Center, a federally qualified health center serving the greater Harrisburg area
Mark Stier, Director of the Pennsylvania Budget and Policy Center
Antoinette Kraus, Director of the Pennsylvania Health Access Network
Anna Kruk-Corbin, parent

In addition, there will be an opportunity for participants to let their federal representatives know how the proposed changes will affect their healthcare.
