Crowdcast Tutorial

The Midtown Scholar Bookstore is proud to unveil our Live Stream Series via Crowdcast, our chosen platform for readings, conversations, and discussions with authors we love. With the recent outbreak of covid-19, indie bookstores have had to pivot to utilize the latest webinar technologies. What was most important to us was an easy-to-use platform for our viewers that provided the highest quality video. To make things easier for you, we’ve provided step-by-step instructions on how to register for an event and interact with the authors on the screen.

We believe it’s an important time to stay connected — however socially isolated we may be — over our shared love of literature. If you have any questions about registration, don’t hesitate to email shop@midtownscholar.com.

WHAT IS CROWDCAST?

PARTICIPATING IN MULTIPLE EVENTS ON CROWDCAST

Crowdcast allows you to use one login for all of your events. In your profile you can access all of your past and upcoming events. You can personalize your profile with a picture and brief bio.

INTERACTING IN THE EVENT

Polls are located in a tab just below the video feed. Your host may add a poll prior to the event or during a live session, so be sure to check this area periodically.
