“Book Warehouse - Team Member”

Full-Time and Part-Time Positions available: 30-40 hours/week
The Midtown Scholar Bookstore Warehouse is accepting resumes for several full-time and part-time, entry-level positions to join our e-commerce and book warehouse team.
Schedule: The book warehouse hours of operation are Mon-Sat, 9am-7pm. If full time, this is a 40-hour, 5-day-a-week position; it requires working some holidays plus overtime in August and January. If part time, this is a 30+ hour/week position.
Successful candidates must have a strong positive work ethic, feel comfortable working in a book warehouse environment, and be able to keep up with a fast-paced e-commerce business. This is an entry-level, hourly-wage position, with a starting rate of $12/hour.
Duties may include order fulfillment; book sorting, packaging, and mailing; inventory receiving; lifting and carrying heavy boxes and moving book carts; climbing ladders; shelving and retrieving books; computer-based inventory listing; and light cleaning.

QUALIFICATIONS AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
● Ages 18 and older with a valid work permit and a high school degree or G.E.D. equivalent.
● Ability to climb, bend, crouch, stoop, and lift boxes up to 40 lbs.; ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time; ability to use hands/arms to operate a keyboard, manipulate small, large, and heavy objects, and engage in repetitive motion activities; ability to adapt to the varying temperatures, sounds, and dust of a warehouse environment.
